Learning Through Film

'The possibilities are endless'

Be a writer, director, producer, camera operator, sound recordist, boom operator, actor, soundtrack composer, storyboard artist, lighting technician, make-up artist, script supervisor...

What's it all about?

No experience necessary. Young filmmakers plan and shoot films based upon their interests. Recent films have explored horror, superheroes, action and espionage. All equipment is provided. Attendees should wear clothing suitable for both indoor and outdoor filmmaking.

Since 2017 we have created a range of workshop experiences for a variety of settings. The duration of workshops are generally two hours plus and can be run over several days.

ABOUT

Focus Film School was founded in 2017 by Award Winning filmmaker

and teacher Clive Martin, PGCE with QTS. A graduate of The University of Westminster in 1994, Clive has many years experience working in the film industry, education and as a volunteer in special education (including the Sunrise Programme).

workshop participant.
