Focus Film School Terms and Conditions: 

 

  1. Booking Arrangements. To avoid disappointment we invite you to make your booking as early as possible and to secure it with a £50 deposit, payable to Focus Film School. A final invoice will be sent to you 4 weeks prior to the workshop and this is payable not later than two weeks before the workshop date.

  2.  You will be given in advance the name and mobile phone number of the Focus Film School Lead Practictioner attending your event. If you have any concerns on the day, do not hesitate to call the Focus Film School office. 

  3. You are requested not to provide food or drink during the event as these can damage filmmaking equipment and/or create hazards, unless agreed in advance.

  4. We will provide you with evidence of trainer Identification, DBS, Public Liability Insurance, Risk Assessments. Should you require additional information please let us know, no later than 2 weeks before the event.

  5. We require access to the location at least 1 hour prior to the event. Where possible we recommended you send us details, a photo of the room/space. Access to take down the event is required for 1 hour.

  6. In order to safely and effeciently unload/load filmmaking equipment (to and from our van) and get equipment to the required location, please give thought to loading and unloading areas and locations. Parking should be provided as near to the location as is practical.

  7. Please be aware that there is an inherent risk when working with equipment, and ‘film sets’. The instructor will ensure your students understand how to be safe and they will check equipment is safe and fit for purpose. We do expect participants to take reasonable care and attention to keep themselves safe.

  8. The event organiser must inform us of any medical, health or other issue which may have impact on access to the proposed event and activities.

  9. Staff/parents/carers are most welcome to sit in on the event. A minimum of one adult must always be present. 

  10. We may wish to use images (video, sound, photos) from the event for our website and marketing purposes. We will discuss this with you.

  11. We operate a Money Back Guarantee. We hope this will never happen, but if you are unhappy with the presentation or the presenter, stop the workshop within 30 minutes of the start. Tell him/her that you are dissatisfied and the reason for it. We will refund in full whatever you have paid us for the presentation as well as any costs paid to us for mileage.

  12. Booking fees are not refundable although we will be willing to carry them forward to a future date.

  13. Cancellations within 30 days are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations within 15 to 0 days are subject to a 75% cancellation fee.

  14. The right is reserved to charge a late payment fee and interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. Additionally, a correspondence charge of £5.00 per letter, email or phone call necessitated by the non-payment of our account, may be charged at the Company’s discretion.

  15. Our policy is to collect only the information that you supply us on the booking form, the contact form or over the telephone. This information is never divulged to any third parties. It is used solely for informing you about our services and the performance of any event that you book. Should you require that we delete any information held, please email us.

  17. Alterations to these conditions will only be accepted if confirmed in writing by us.
