Skills and Impact

This is a shout out to all film and video educators working. Know that our work is more relevant and important than ever.

If you've ever doubted the value of traditional filmmaking skills and techniques, first consider what engagement looks like and the impact. The process of making a film encourages the development of collaboration and communication skills, problem solving, time management, critical thinking and of course creativity. The process delivers impact in barrel loads as young filmmakers work together to create something unique, memorable and special.

During half term I was working with Lingfield Youth Hub - this will be our fourth film project. Over the summer, LYH will spend 5 days filming their script followed by a red carpet premiere. Movie making is more than making movies.
