SUITABLE for AGES: 8 - 16

DATE: 5th - 8th August 2025

TIME: 9.30 am - 3.00 pm

LOCATION: Ardingly College, Ardingly, West Sussex

All equipment is provided. This is a practical workshop and no experience is necessary. Please bring a pack lunch and suitable clothing for filming indoors and outdoors. We provide fruit, snacks and drinks.

Working collaboratively, you will learn new filmmaking skills and techniques, then plan and shoot a film(s). Using industry standard equipment, participants will experience working in front and behind the lens, as they undertake the roles of cast and crew.

Over 4 days, participants will become familiar with a range of professional equipment and techniques. Filmmaking is a collaborative process and students will be both cast and crew as they work together to create a unique and exciting film.

Participants are provided with a certificate and most importantly a video containing the film(s) made, as well the behind the scenes footage and bloopers (gotta love bloopers). The edited video is usually available 1 week after completion of the course.

All sessions are facilitated by a qualified (PGCE), award winning filmmaker. Cost includes all filmmaking equipment (Netflix approved camera, sound and lighting equipment), public liability insurance. Our instructors hold DBS certification.

We'll use a range of cameras and grip equipment, lights, microphones, and props. And yes, we have a clapperboard.

In rare and exceptional circumstances, if there are insufficient participants (minimum of 6) to ensure a productive and viable filmmaking experience, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the event. We would do this no later than 7 days prior to the workshop and refund your booking in full.
